A Renewed Commitment: abba Huesca Hotel and Social Responsibility in Aragón
At abba Huesca Hotel, we strongly believe in the power of social responsibility to build a more sustainable and fair future. That is why, once again, we reaffirm our commitment to the Aragonese society through our participation in the Aragón Social Responsibility Plan.
Since its inception in 2015, this initiative, led by the Government of Aragón in collaboration with CEOE Aragón, Cepyme Aragón, UGT Aragón, and CC.OO Aragón, has worked to promote Corporate and Business Social Responsibility (CSR/BSR) among freelancers, businesses, and both public and private organizations. Its main goal is to encourage them to adopt and implement socially responsible practices, contributing to the sustainable development of the region.
In 2025, we renew this commitment once again, strengthening our dedication to the fundamental values that guide our business actions: awareness, commitment, training, and transparency.
What Does This Commitment Mean for Us?
1. Awareness: We will continue raising awareness among our team, clients, and partners about the importance of sustainability and social responsibility.
2. Commitment: We will integrate best practices into our daily management to ensure a positive impact on our environment.
3. Training: We will invest in continuous CSR training for our employees, promoting an ethical and sustainable business model.
4. Transparency: We will maintain clear and open communication about our initiatives and progress in social responsibility.
This effort not only strengthens our company’s values but also allows us to actively contribute to the well-being of the local community, promoting more responsible and sustainable tourism.
From abba Huesca Hotel, we invite all our clients and partners to join us in this philosophy because we believe that together, we can make a difference.

Abba hotels at the ECOSTAR Summit 2024: a sustainable commitment
At abba Hotels, we are committed to sustainability, and a testament to this has been our recent participation in the ECOSTAR Summit 2024. Our Director of Procurement and Sustainability, Enric Almiñana, represented the chain at this prominent event, where various hotel groups discussed their ESG (environmental, social, and governance) policies, positioning themselves as leaders in sustainable management.
The ECOSTAR Summit 2024 addressed fundamental topics for the future of hospitality and sustainability, focusing on areas such as:
- Energy and CO2: Strategies to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency.
- Water Management: Implementing measures for the responsible use and conservation of this vital resource.
- Circularity: Promoting recycling and waste reduction across all operations.
- Social ESG: Commitments to employee well-being and positive impacts on local communities.
- Governance: Good corporate governance practices, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Digitalization: Using innovative technology to enhance operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
The event was incredibly enriching, as it allowed abba Hotels to share its sustainability strategies, but most importantly, to learn from other experiences to continue enhancing our Sostenabbability project.
We thank ECOSTAR for organizing such a relevant and productive event, which will undoubtedly help us continue driving our commitment to a more sustainable future.
We continue moving forward towards more responsible and conscious hospitality!
ACTION AGAINST HUNGER: abba Hotels Joins the Fight Against Hunger
At abba Hotels, we are proud to once again be part of the Hotels and Restaurants Against Hunger initiative, organized by Action Against Hunger. From September 15th to November 15th, our hotels and restaurants will join this great campaign, now celebrating its 15th edition.
Restaurants Against Hunger is the largest solidarity movement in the hospitality sector in our country, bringing together thousands of professionals, chefs, cooks, and hospitality staff with a common goal: to eradicate hunger.
How are we contributing at abba Hotels? During this period, we will add 1 € to each daily menu in our restaurants or upon checkout at our hotels. This small gesture, when multiplied by many, becomes a meaningful contribution to those in need.
At the end of the campaign, all funds raised will be donated to Action Against Hunger, supporting projects that combat food insecurity and improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable people.
Every small gesture counts. Together, we can make a real difference. Join us at abba Hotels in this cause, and let’s help ensure that no table is left without a meal!
A walk through the wines of the world
At abba Burgos, we are proud to join forces with the Burgos Acoge association to organize a charity dinner and wine tasting titled 'A Walk Through the Wines of the World', an event that will take place at our hotel on September 26, 2024. This event promises to be an unforgettable evening where fine wine, gastronomy, and solidarity come together for a noble cause.
Our collaboration is not limited to the free use of space in our prestigious restaurant; it also includes the creation of an exquisite dish designed by our talented chef, Daniel Bermejo, in collaboration with the renowned wine expert Paco Berciano. Additionally, we will have the participation of other prestigious restaurants in the city, which will also contribute their culinary art to this special evening.
The main objective of this initiative is to raise funds, which will be entirely allocated to the charity project 'Ponle Color al Mundo', an important initiative driven by the foundation that works tirelessly for the inclusion of immigrants in the hospitality sector.
